People Whisperer

I credit the Dog Whisperer for demonstrating how to become pack leader by being calm and assertive. It works on thieves as well, or so it seems.

Monday I noticed that my son's bike was stolen. Amazingly, Tuesday I saw it locked in town. I sent my son to call for the police while I guarded the bike. Three guys and a girl came over. I "talked" with them about "our" bike. Eventually the "new owner" just unlocked it for me. I thanked him. The end.

Now I just need to get my bikini.com towel back. Why would someone take my towel? Come awn.

did you hiss at him and thrust your hand forward?

I made the sound and gestured with my finger. I was ready with a hand-grip-bite if needed.

I would have pulled out the New Jersey accent in that situation.
Did you let them know that you were from "the Mills"?

Well, you see, after being in The Shade for so many years, I've lost the bravado that comes from life in The Mills.

The NJ accent...that would have been overkill.

I thought of you the other day when I passed the porta-potty apartments

Right. Unfortunately, we will leave our perch in England soon and go to the potty. ちょっと悲しい。T_T
